Basic Photoshop grading rubric
This is a three page document that includes a page of bookmark rubrics, a rubric to post, and a grading scale to post in your classroom.
The rubric is designed to get students to do work! Their effort is observed in my classroom and graded; in fact, the majority of their computer grade is based on this rubric. I grade all Photoshop work using the first rubric. I cut out the four bookmarks from page 2 and I tape one to each computer so students always have a visual of how their grade is affected by their effort. What this rubric simply does is provide an indication if the student is putting in the effort to learn classroom topics and following directions. What you would see in my grade book are scores of up to 4 for daily assignments, up to 8 points for quizzes (multiply score times 2) and tests/longer projects have scores up to 12 points. I have used this grading method for the last 10 years – no strange math or unfair percentage scores that drag grades down.
The second rubric is posted in the classroom next to my grading school.
